The Family History of Alf Rankin
A genealogical study of the family origins of Alf Rankin, formerly known as Alphonsus Zarancha. Joseph Zarancha came to Scotland from Lithuania in the early years of the twentieth century, and married a fellow-Lithuanian, Magdalena Letuvniku. Their offspring integrated with the Scots, and spread throughout Britain. Surnames covered also include Allison, Black, Brodie, Davidson, Dickson, Divine, Hunter, Laing, McKinnon, Murphy and Sandon. The study ranges from 1789 to the present.
